We’re excited to be back after taking July off to celebrate Independence Day!
Our August Lunch & Learn will feature two dynamic speakers:
- Representative Dwayne Yunker – House District 3
- Joseph Rice – Newly elected Chair of the Josephine County Republican Party
We will be announcing a new venue starting in September, with expanded capacity, ample parking, a sound system, a stage, and excellent food. This change will enable us to comfortably accommodate more than 50 attendees.
We are still meeting at Black Bear Diner for August and space is limited to 50, so secure your seat early—especially with Rep. Yunker on the agenda. His updates from Salem are not to be missed! 11:15 for no-host lunch, 12 to 1 PM workshop.
📝 Petitions will be available to sign, including:
- No Toll Roads (IP 31)
- End the Death Tax (IP 51)
- Ban Vote-by-Mail (IP 53)
Don’t miss this opportunity to stay informed, get involved, and stand for conservative values in Josephine County.

Meet Alan Zeltvay, our August Home Town Hero
Alan is a Champion of Youth Safety & Emergency Services Education
We’re proud to recognize the outstanding community leadership of Alan Zeltvay, an Engineer and Company Officer with Rural Metro Fire.
Alan is deeply committed to equipping the next generation with both life-saving knowledge and career opportunities. Through his active outreach in local high schools, he’s making a real difference:
- Career Prep:
Alan partners with District 7 to conduct Mock Interviews, preparing students for workforce readiness. He’s also developing a new internship program to engage graduates who may be interested in pursuing emergency services.
- Safety Education at North Valley & Hidden Valley High Schools:
Water Safety: Classes at the YMCA teach students how to stay safe while floating or swimming in rivers during the summer.
Mass Casualty Preparedness: Includes active shooter response and Stop the Bleed training for both teachers and students.
- Every 15 Minutes Program Coordinator:
Alan helps implement this powerful national curriculum to raise awareness about the dangers of teen drinking and driving. The program uses a vivid, “shock and awe” approach, staging graphic crash reenactments in front of student audiences.
Alan’s dedication to community safety and youth empowerment is helping shape a safer, more prepared Josephine County.

On July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, President Donald J. Trump survived an assassination attempt. In the aftermath, this powerful and historic photograph captured him with blood streaming from his right ear, his right fist raised defiantly in the air. This striking image symbolizes resilience and determination.
